Understanding Mortgage Investment Entities

A Mortgage Investment Entity is a flow-through investment vehicle that syndicates or pools together  money from individual investors and/or corporations to lend on mortgage transactions. They can vary in  organizational structure, and may be a trust, a limited partnership, or a corporation. Though it is not  required, an MIE can distribute 100% of its net income to its shareholders.
